Drone Restrictions: To protect park resources, limit conflict with other park users, and avoid safety and privacy liabilities, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), remotely piloted vehicles (RPV) or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), all commonly referred to as DRONES, are only permitted on designated flying fields in six remote controlled airfield parks (Beltzville, Benjamin Rush, Hillman, Lackawanna, Prompton, and Tuscarora). The use of drones or other UAS is restricted at all other Bureau of State Parks locations.

\r\nburn/buy locally cut firewood (within 25 miles)
\r\nBURN ALL firewood brought from another area. Do not leave it. Do not take it with you.

\r\nDo not remove firewood from a Spotted Lanternfly Quarantine Area. Contact the PA Department of Agriculture, www.agriculture.pa.gov and search on the keyword Spotted Lantern Fly for current quarantine information.
\r\nLake Drawdown: A drawdown of Tobyhanna Lake has been moved to begin in the Early Spring of 2027. The lake is being drawn down for a construction project on the dam. Due to the presence of unexploded ordinances (UXO's), any entry into the lakebed, lake or stream is prohibited during the drawdown. Fishing, boating, swimming and all other activities that include entry in the lake/ lakebed will be closed for the entirety of the drawdown.
\r\nPlease contact the park office for the latest updates or if you have any questions.
\r\n\r\nWarning: Due to the drawdown, there is an increased chance of the presence of UXO's. The lake will be closed to all public use, violators may be prosecuted.
